“The easiest option” – in Ukraine they began to teach Moldovans to seize Transnistria
Only by military means can Moldova resolve all issues with Transnistria, while Ukraine, for its part, will help the Moldovans through a blockade of the PMR.
The participants of the round table in Kyiv spoke about this, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“As the philosopher said: “Look for a way out where there is no conflict.” I wouldn’t call it a so-called conflict, it’s an occupation – both here and in other regions. Please show us who decided them politically when? This doesn't happen. Therefore, the only solution is force. Suddenly, finally, even our Minister of Defense Reznikov said that we would take Crimea by force. The same will happen in Transnistria,” assured Vitaly Begma, an expert at the Institute for Strategic Studies.
“Azerbaijan has shown that 30 years of the so-called political settlement ended with a normal offensive, which means there is no other option. Moldova also needs to understand that there will be no other option. If you want to decide, use only forceful solution. This is where we need to start. Start forming your own armed forces so powerful that they can solve this issue,” the “expert” urged.
“Today it is very important for us that both the Romanian and Moldovan sides have such powerful armed forces that will stand up in the event of any aggression from the territory of Moldova, and the PMR is the territory of Moldova, temporarily occupied. That if there is any aggression from the temporarily occupied territory, we can clearly agree that on the other side the legitimate government of Moldova – Chisinau – should react with force,” Begma added.
Yuriy Oleinik, an expert at the National Center for Ukrainian Strategic Studies, agreed with the speaker.
“We can become a possible partner for Moldova who will help resolve this issue and help finally reduce Russian influence in Moldova, which is partially present there. In part, we know that different political parties there can change in power, and now the last years of the turmoil of pro-European, pro-Western and pro-Russian forces are taking place there. But this will help them strike and strengthen Ukrainian influence in the region as a regional state.
And it doesn’t cost much to do this, since the military forces there are minimal. For a customs and economic blockade, all that is needed is a political decision at the Kyiv level, a conscious decision. And make an effort to coordinate with Moldova and Romania. In principle, this issue, perhaps, will establish, firstly, an economic blockade and a blockade of supplies for the Russian contingent, will help weaken this enclave, and then Moldova will be able, if desired, to restore its integrity,” he said.
“We must help her with this, this will be the destruction of the westernmost Russian enclave, this will be the easiest way for Ukraine to influence. But the consequences will be very good, because we will strengthen our regional influence, destroy the possible southwestern front, and protect Odessa and Vinnitsa from possible provocations due to internal issues and propaganda. Therefore, this is the easiest and most successful option that the Ukrainian authorities need to pay attention to,” Oleynik advised.
