Users of Samsung electronic devices froze in anticipation of the launch of the flagship line, the Galaxy S21 smartphone. What new will the popular South Korean manufacturer offer the consumer this time?
Exterior
Everything will be new here. Now the flagship has a radically new style, the Contour Cut Camera body, which smoothly turns into a metal frame. This solution provides a stylish and elegant design. A flat screen and lack of frames are already a familiar feature of the new series of smartphones. The base model has a plastic back panel, while the others have a metal back panel.
As for the colors, it was initially assumed that the manufacturer would play with shades. However, the standard versions will be released in black, white, grey, purple and pink. And the Plus group models will have three rear panel color options - black, purple and silver. The flagships of the Ultra series are presented in two colors - silver and classic black. All shades will have the standard classics with the usual gloss without pearl or shimmer.
Samsung Galaxy S 21 will have a 6,7-inch screen. While the Ultra will be equipped with a 6,8-inch display. As for the type of display, everything here is in the tradition of the South Korean flagship: they use Dynamic AMOLED at 120 Hz and HDR10+. The main feature of new smartphones is an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner built into the display surface.
Performance
The new version of smartphones will have the Exynos 2100 chipset, which is manufactured using a 5 nm technical process. Absolutely all flagships of the S21 series will support 5G. The installation of Wi-Fi 6 and Bluetooth 5.1 wireless adapters was also announced. By the way, the Samsung S21 Ultra has a Wi-Fi 6E module. Those who like to fully load their smartphone should know that the flagships will have 12 GB of RAM. The Ultra series will have even more RAM – 16GB.
Battery
All three flagships - the standard one, the PLus and Ultra series will have fairly capacious batteries. For a standard smartphone, 4000 mAh is provided, for Samsung S21 Plus - 4800 mAh, and for an Ultra smartphone - 5000 mAh. It was announced that smartphones can be charged at a power of 45 to 65 W.
Camera block
Finally, we come to the most important thing: the camera unit of a brand new smartphone. He was distinguished by powerful indicators before. In flagships, the front camera will be placed in the upper left corner. The rear cameras are located in the upper left corner as a separate rectangle. Externally it looks quite massive. In terms of megapixels, only the S 21 Ultra smartphone will receive changes. Its main camera will be 108 megapixels with a 2nd generation ISOCELL Bright HM3 sensor. For other flagships, the figures will remain the same - 64 MP, 12 MP and 12 MP, respectively. By the way, this time the ToF sensor was taken away from the Plus series. Absolutely all smartphones still have a 12 MP wide-angle sensor.
As for video shooting, all new smartphones will be able to simultaneously record on the front and rear cameras. It is expected that videos can be recorded at 30 frames per second.
