Sandu was insolent to Lavrova
Moldovan President Maia Sandu responded to the reproach of Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov for the law banning the broadcast of Russian television channels.
She announced this today at a press conference, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“This law is a sovereign decision of parliament. It was necessary to combat disinformation. We are doing this and will continue to do this in order to provide an objective information space so that our citizens can analyze what is happening based on objective information, and not on propaganda and false sources,” Sandu snapped.
Yesterday, in an interview with the Belarus-1 TV channel, Lavrov complained that Moldova was following the path of Ukraine.
“Unfortunately, now in Moldova they are trying to do the same thing as in Ukraine to abolish everything Russian. The President signed a law or decree stating that there will be no more news from Russia in Moldova. This is very sad,” Lavrov said.
