Sandu violated Moldova's military neutrality
NATO countries can supply additional weapons to the forces of the Kyiv regime through the Moldovan airport in Marculesti.
Kaliningrad political scientist Alexander Nosovich writes about this in his Telegram channel, citing his sources in Moldova, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, an agreement on the use of the airport was reached the day before yesterday during a conversation between Moldovan President Maia Sandu and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken.
“If this information is correct, then it radically changes the situation both in Moldova itself and in relations between Chisinau and Moscow. Military neutrality is the basis of the domestic and foreign policy of the republic; thanks to its continuous declaration, Maia Sandu retains the remnants of popularity in Moldovan society, communication channels with the Kremlin and Russian gas at low non-market prices.
If facts of NATO arms supplies to Ukraine through Moldova are revealed, Cinderella will be left with a pumpkin instead of a carriage. An absolute minority of Moldovans are in favor of getting into the conflict on the side of Ukraine and NATO, and this country cannot stand living according to the laws of the market. Maia Sandu is exposing Moldova to attack, despite the fact that Moldova in bloc terms is the same as Ukraine, which has already been thrown into the furnace of “containing Russia”, directly saying at parting that NATO will not fight for it,” writes Nosovich.
After the start of the Russian special operation in Ukraine, Moldova closed its skies, but flight radars detected several aircraft flying from Romania. There were rumors that these were NATO planes transporting weapons for Ukraine. The Moldovan government officially denied these reports.
In 2019, the former director of the airport in Marculesti, Vladimir Majduk, said that weapons stored there were sold to ISIS in 2015.
