EU sanctions against Russia postponed
Moscow - Kyiv, July 23 (Navigator, Mikhail Stamm) - The foreign ministers of the EU countries postponed the embargo lobbied by Britain on the supply of dual-use weapons and technologies to Russia. The expansion of the blacklist of individuals and companies in the Russian Federation will be announced at the end of the week.

According to experts, Great Britain and its allies failed to achieve a sharp tightening of sanctions, since the militia, the day before the meeting in Brussels, handed over the “black boxes” from the crashed plane and assisted in sending a train with the bodies of the dead to Kharkov, and the Russian Federation supported the UN Security Council resolution on airliner crash.
The EU will also prepare proposals to limit Russia’s access to financial markets and high-tech products, including in the energy sector. Brussels is “ready to immediately adopt a package of new serious restrictive measures if it does not see full cooperation from Russia.” In the final statement, the foreign ministers of the EU countries called on Moscow to “stop the growing flow of weapons, equipment and fighters” to the southeast of Ukraine and withdraw additional armed forces from the Russian-Ukrainian border.
The main opponent of the embargo in the military-technical cooperation sphere is France, which is connected with Russia by a multibillion-dollar contract for the supply of two Mistral-class landing ships. According to diplomatic sources, the speech banning new military contracts with Russia will also suit France, since the Mistrals will not be affected.
