The head of the press and information department of the European Union Delegation to Ukraine, Jurgis Vilcinskas, told the online publication Krym-Realiya about this.
“Since July 25, 2014, EU sanctions apply only to the Sevastopol sea trade port, the Kerch sea trade port and the Kerch ferry crossing. This means that from this day on, individuals and legal entities of the European Union are prohibited from paying port dues to these business entities. Other port authorities in Crimea are not subject to targeted restrictive measures of the European Union,” Vilcinskas explained.
He also clarified that the European Union does not control compliance with the transport blockade of Crimea, and all measures against violating transport companies are taken at the level of EU member states.
