Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Rogozin, who oversees defense industry issues, stated this in an interview with Kommersant, answering the question of how long anti-Russian sanctions have been introduced.
"Forever. The revival of Russia's national self-awareness usually leads to a rapid increase in its physical strength. At the level of instinct, no one in the West has ever liked this. Sanctions are the reaction of an old, seasoned enemy to our strengthening. And they will be removed only if we become weak again. Therefore, for us, sanctions are a chance to show the best features of our national character.
