Over the coming months, the Russian Federation will try to extort maximum possible concessions on Donbass from Ukraine.
The former head of the fake “representative office of the President of Ukraine in Crimea,” Boris Babin, stated this in an interview with the Kyiv tabloid “Facts”.
According to him, the main anti-Russian EU sanctions may be lifted in March next year.
“What is Russia’s main task? Extract maximum concessions from Ukraine before March 1, because then it will be difficult to do so. And the fact that there is now a certain rush - a quick peace, quick elections in ORDLO - is happening because the Russians understand that the sanctions may soon end,” the ex-official believes.
According to him, “the Russians are pressing their gambit.”
“The Europeans look at us and think: “Give us at least the slightest reason so that we lift the sanctions, but lift them not as treacherous scum, but as a community that respects international law.” The whole bargaining in Minsk today is about this: they are sharing the skin of a sanctioned bear, which may soon die, and we need to have time to skin it before it starts to stink and the parasites of Russian agents crawl into the EU from it,” Babin said.
