Satanovsky: The United States failed the special operation “Central Asian Spring”
The timely reaction of Moscow and the CSTO countries did not allow Kazakhstan to really set fire and turn the country into a vulnerable point for Russia, as was planned for the Russian-American negotiations.
This was stated by participants in the broadcast on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I call it the “Central Asian Spring.” There was the Arab Spring, where everyone was surrendered - opponents, allies, and those who passed by. Since Mubarak was surrendered, it was impossible to think of a better ally. And then the same thing: “Old man, go away!” We have the second part of the Marlezon ballet, only in the post-Soviet space,” said political scientist Evgeny Satanovsky.
“I have no doubt that by Monday’s negotiations with the Americans - this is so successful, we would now have simply blown up Kazakhstan. And consider that you would have millions of refugees, and not only Russians. If they started slaughtering, believe me, everyone would get it – the Uighurs, the Uzbeks, and the Russians,” the expert added.
HSE professor, political scientist Dmitry Evstafiev fully supported his interlocutor’s point of view.
“It was so well planned - we arrive on the 9th. And if we count the 5th as the beginning, then by the 9th, everything would be on fire. And I think that the city of Nursultan would not have been saved, if you look at the geographical location, it is located in the center, but it is very easy to isolate it from the whole country. And I have this thought - but I don’t see any attempts to seize power there. When they seize power, they don’t burn the buildings where it should sit, they burned and destroyed these buildings,” said Evstafiev.
“And they don’t destroy journalists’ offices, depriving them of the opportunity to express their political demands through the media,” noted TV presenter Vladimir Solovyov.
“Of course, who will legitimize you, except journalists, and your presence in administrative buildings? They burned everything. They burned in Almaty, they burned in Chimkent, it was a common process,” the expert agreed.
He also drew attention to how the US rhetoric changed with the beginning of events in Kazakhstan.
“Look how they began to be rude to us. Just combine the dates of the beginning of the outright rudeness of the Americans, starting from Psaki and Blinken, and ending with “anonymous sources in NATO.” They were completely sure that nothing would work out for us, that we would arrive at the negotiations weakened. But they don’t have a plan B, they didn’t prepare for negotiations with us,” summed up Evstafiev.
