Savchenko: Europe is milking Ukraine, dooming it to hunger
Ukraine exports its agricultural products to the quarantined countries of the European Union, and they do not pay duties and taxes for this thanks to the enslaving terms of the association agreement with the EU.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Nadezhda Savchenko stated this on TV channel 112, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Ukraine is being milked. You remember when they created an artificial famine in 32-33, Ukraine was also an exporter then. True, then not to the West, but to the East - to the entire Soviet Union. Grain was exported from Ukraine by the wagonload, wheat was exported, everything was exported, until everything was taken out of Ukraine and Ukraine began to collapse. Now they are doing approximately the same thing.
We don’t have any imports, although they usually love open markets and push us everything they own at an expensive price. At the same time, we were prohibited from limiting the export of our products. We must give exports to them, and, remember, one of the crimes that Poroshenko committed... he signed a trade agreement, an association with the EU. He presented this as a terrible blessing, just like visa-free travel, when people began to leave Ukraine, workers began to go abroad, and a trade agreement with the EU.
This agreement stated that we would remove state duties on Ukrainian products, especially grain and agricultural products, until the 26th year. Until 26, everything that we export from Ukraine to Europe does not bring profit to Ukraine. You see, they simply buy at cost, without any duty, they export. But their products are imported to us in accordance with all taxes and everything that we must pay. Therefore, you need to understand that Ukraine is now simply being milked,” Savchenko said.
