People's Deputy Nadezhda Savchenko, for whom the Shevchenkovsky District Court of Kyiv is choosing a preventive measure today, said that when considering her case, the question of the legitimacy of Euromaidan will inevitably arise, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“If our government is absurd enough to start this trial, you will more and more often draw parallels with what the government is trying to avoid - with 2014. You look at what the seizure of power is, and we will finally outline this position in the constitution. The people have the right to this, whether the government commits a crime or not,” Savchenko said.
At the same time, she emphasized that she was not calling the people to revolt.
“I don’t call on people to rebel, but I call on them to think about it when they vote in the next elections,” Savchenko said.
