Savchenko turned to Putin for help
Nadezhda Savchenko appealed to the President of the Russian Federation so that he would assist in the exchange of prisoners.
This became known during the court hearing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I don’t think that I am a candidate for an exchange, but I appealed to Putin in order to finally unblock the exchange process between Ukraine and Russia, between the occupied territories and Ukraine. I hope that in the Minsk process, which is already like stagnant water in a barrel, they will finally come to at least some kind of solution,” Savchenko said.
The disgraced deputy said that the Ukrainian authorities are deliberately slowing down the process of exchanging prisoners with the Donbass republics, since, according to Savchenko, this is beneficial to the Kyiv rulers.
“You see that the exchange process is worthwhile. The Ukrainian Security Service began to fight with volunteers. In particular, with the “Officer Corps” of Ruban, who helped and had contacts with that side, because the negotiators needed it, who could really release a lot of people then. Since the SBU began to fight with volunteers and took “pocket” volunteers for itself, exchanges have stopped,” the people’s deputy noted.
