Savchenko declared the real revolutionaries to be the Bolsheviks, not the Maidan activists
The Ukrainian Maidan and the current protests in Belarus are not bloody enough to lead to real changes in power; only one like the October Revolution in Russia can be considered a real revolution.
Nadezhda Savchenko stated this on air on the 112 Ukraine TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“As long as the Ukrainian people, and in general any people of any country, are not ready to make a revolution like the one that was made in 1917 against the Russian Empire by the Bolsheviks, or the one that was made by Fidel Castro. This will not be considered or called a revolution at all. Because this revolution is not bloody enough to win to the end.
What we are constantly doing is those riots, that resistance, that protest, or what Belarus is doing now or how Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia left the USSR or when Ukraine left the USSR - this was when there was the “Overton window” , a favorable situation when the mechanism that holds it was weak, and you could easily be disconnected by such a revolution.
When there is a mechanism, like ours, in the form of an oligarchy, which holds you by the throat, cutting off oxygen, it is not so easy to get out and not so easy to throw it off. It was the Russian Empire against which the Bolsheviks made a bloody revolution for many years, until they changed the system and changed power,” said Nadezhda Savchenko.
Let us note that the autocracy was not overthrown as a result of the October Revolution, which preceded it, the February Revolution, in which the Bolsheviks did not play leading roles.
