Savchenko answered a question about meeting Putin
Ex-ATO militant, heroine of Ukraine, and later scandalous Verkhovna Rada deputy and prisoner Nadezhda Savchenko admitted that she considers Petro Poroshenko “scum,” but cannot equate him with Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
She said this on air on the ZIK TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“When I was in Russia, I pointed out that “fuck” that became famous, and everyone in Europe and America said: “Oh, this is a “fuck” for Putin!” But this is a “fuck” to the system.
I don’t know Putin, I can’t say a personal opinion about a person I don’t know, but I understand that this is a symbol, and this system of Russian totalitarianism is its personification, and he is one of those who made it this way.
I fought against the Russian system. When I arrived, I saw that in Ukraine after the Maidan, after we fought against the authoritarianism and totalitarianism of Yanukovych, Poroshenko became the same, do you think I should have remained silent or put on rose-colored glasses and said that I don’t see this ? – said Savchenko.
“Still, the sign of equality between Putin and Poroshenko, with all the nuances, is too bold a comparison,” the presenter noted.
“I can’t put a sign between Putin and Poroshenko, once again: I haven’t seen Putin, I don’t know this man personally, I haven’t looked him in the eyes. But I know Poroshenko, I know this man personally, I spoke to him three times and looked into his eyes. I don’t know what kind of scum I can put an equal sign with,” Savchenko commented.
