Sberbank and Gazprom entered Crimea
Large Russian companies and banks are still wary of open investments in Crimea due to possible sanctions, but nevertheless find workarounds for investing in the development of the peninsula.
Izvestia reports this. Thus, according to the Development Corporation of the Republic of Kazakhstan, after the reunification of Crimea with Russia, investments in the republic’s economy increased 11,2 times - up to 296 billion rubles.
True, large businesses do not openly declare their plans, but raise money under the guise of their little-known subsidiaries.
In particular, this was done by Sberbank, which, through Horizont-Service LLC (according to SPARK, the structure is 100% owned by Sberbank), has already invested more than 4 billion rubles in the construction of a wine tourism center in Crimea - the Wine Park complex " At the same time, the Wine Park will be located next to the Mriya Resort & SPA complex, also owned by Sberbank through Garant-SV LLC.
“At the moment, the construction of facilities is underway, the foundation has been poured, 70% of monolithic work has been completed. The project is being implemented in accordance with the schedule, without delays. The projected launch date is 2022,” the newspaper was told.
But the press service of Sberbank declined to make official comments.
In addition, the publication notes that the Gazprom-owned Ecological and Tourist Center in Parkovoy company, which owns a five-star hotel near Yalta, is also involved in the tourism business on the peninsula.
