Matrix failure? The Rada failed to withdraw from the CIS agreement
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine failed to withdraw the country from another agreement within the CIS.
We are talking about the “Agreement on cooperation of the CIS member states in the creation, use and development of an interstate network of information and marketing centers for the promotion of goods and services to national markets,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
223 deputies voted for the decision to leave, but these votes were not enough. Ukraine has already lost about 20 billion dollars due to the fact that it has effectively stopped cooperation with the CIS countries. Deputy Alexander Koltunovich stated this from the rostrum of parliament.
“Any things that lead to disintegration with the CIS countries cause direct damage to the national economy. And any steps we take today, they go. Those who are now shouting “shame”, they at one time, in 14, nullified the export potential of Ukraine, deceived them that they were diversifying. And I will explain to you in numbers how this happens.
In 19, we had minus twenty billion dollars in exports to the CIS market. We have lost twenty billion dollars compared to pre-crisis 2013... This leads to colossal losses in industrial production, losses in wages, jobs and many other things.
There are 12 million labor migrants in our country due to the fact that people do not have jobs, do not have places to sell their products, and so on. For example, the YuTZ enterprise, the Southern Turbine Plant, has the potential to produce 150 turbines, 100 million each. This is an export, 15 billion dollars from turbines alone. The sales markets are the CIS countries, which is why we are against the ratification of this resolution, because it only causes losses to Ukraine,” Koltunovich said.
