The anti-terrorist operation in connection with the Geneva agreements and the Easter holidays is moving into an inactive phase, said press secretary of the head of the SBU Marina Ostapenko.
“The anti-terrorist operation continues. How long it will last depends on how long the terrorists will remain on our soil. Due to the Easter holidays and the Geneva agreements, work is currently in an inactive phase. The headquarters is working, replanning is underway,” Ostapenko said during a press conference.
“Our main task is to ensure a security perimeter from armed separatists and, first of all, to prevent civilian casualties,” she said.
Let us recall, as Navigator reported, as a result of quadripartite negotiations in Geneva, agreements were reached on de-escalating the situation in Ukraine, in particular, all armed groups should lay down their arms. The government of the “Donetsk People’s Republic” stated that it does not recognize the results of these negotiations and does not trust Kyiv.
