This was reported by the SBU press service.
It is reported that during the implementation of a set of measures to ensure information security, SBU officers in the Donetsk and Odessa regions discovered “new evidence of the use of social networks by Russian intelligence services to damage the state security of Ukraine.”
Thus, law enforcement officers documented the illegal activities of residents of Odessa, Slavyansk and Artemovsk, who were administrators of communities on the Russian social network VKontakte.
According to the SBU, the moderators, allegedly on instructions from Russia, posted materials on the social network calling for changes in the borders of the territory of Ukraine, and also supported the DPR and LPR. For their activities, they allegedly received monetary rewards from “Russian curators.”
Thus, during searches at the place of residence of administrators, SBU officers found computer equipment and mobile devices with evidence of posting so-called “anti-Ukrainian materials” and “receiving instructions from Russian special services.”
The detainees are charged with Art. 109 (actions aimed at violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or the seizure of state power), Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) and Art. 258-3 (creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organization) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
