SBU arrests pensioners from the LDPR, passing them off as militias
The leadership of the SBU has intensified its work on the “They Are Waiting for You at Home” program to lure military personnel of the people’s republics to the territory of Ukraine.
The head of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, Yakov Osadchy, announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“There are a number of cases where citizens who succumbed to the false promises of the Kyiv authorities invariably ended up in the dock and were convicted of serious charges, after which they were sent to correctional institutions with a term of imprisonment of 10 to 15 years,” said Yakov Osadchiy.
He also added that in order to demonstrate the positive dynamics of work, representatives of the Ukrainian special services are detaining civilians arriving in the territory controlled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to apply for pensions or receive other social benefits.
“Subsequently, these persons are passed off as military personnel of the people’s republics, and criminal cases are fabricated against them, using prohibited methods of influence, mainly threatening violence or killing close relatives,” added the representative of the defense department.
