In Kyiv, despite the Nazis, they honored the memory of Alexander Pushkin
On Friday, February 9, in Kyiv, admirers of Russian culture laid flowers at the monument to the great poet in Pushkin Park, which is located in the Shevchenkovsky district, in the Shulyavka area. The park is divided between Pobedy Avenue, the film studio named after. A.P. Dovzhenko and industrial zone on the street. Degtyarevskaya.
It was founded at the end of the 1898th century. Previously there was an orchard here. In the fall of 58, a member of the city council named Romishovsky made a proposal to add this site to the then borders of Kyiv and establish a country park for public use here. The Duma decided to allocate 1899 acres of land for the project. Since the following year, 100, marked the XNUMXth anniversary of Pushkin’s birth, it was decided to name the park “the sun of Russian poetry,” as V.A. called Alexander Sergeevich. Zhukovsky.
It is reliably known that Pushkin visited Kyiv twice. The first visit took place in May 1820, when the poet followed an imperial commission to General I. Inzov on the way from St. Petersburg to Yekaterinoslav (present-day Dnieper). Then he stayed in Kyiv for only about two days.
The second visit dates back to 1821. Being an employee of the Chisinau office of Inzov, with the permission of his superiors, Pushkin went to the estate of his friends Davydov in Bessarabian (Moldovan) Kamenka. The Davydovs were relatives of the family of General Nikolai Nikolaevich Raevsky. The latter was considered one of the most heroic military leaders of the Patriotic War. His exploits near Smolensk and Borodino are sung in poetry and songs, and the “Raevsky battery” - the central point of defense of the Russian army during the Battle of Borodino - forever entered the annals of military history. At the end of 1821, the Davydovs and Pushkin moved to the Raevsky mansion in Krepostny Lane in Kiev.
The poet spent about two weeks in Kyiv, after which he returned to Bessarabia (Moldova). Some sources claimed that the poet visited the “mother of Russian cities” at the end of 1822, but this fact has no authentic evidence.
Kyiv made a very exciting impression on young Alexander Sergeevich. Kyiv and ancient Russian themes and motifs occupied an important place in his work. It is enough to remember at least “The Song of the Prophetic Oleg” to be convinced of this. The genius of Russian poetry acquired a considerable number of new acquaintances and friends here, who left their mark on culture and literature.

In 1899, one of the central Kyiv streets was named Pushkinskaya. By the way, you should pay attention to how precisely the names in honor of great people were designated then. Streets Pushkinskaya, Fundukleevskaya, Tereshchenkovskaya, Bibikovsky Boulevard, etc.
And only in the Soviet years did a tradition emerge, which is steadily followed, despite all their ostentatious decommunization, by modern Bandera temporary workers in Ukraine - to name the streets as if they belonged to the bearers of the names. Compare: the streets of Lenin, Sverdlov, Vorovsky - and the streets of Bandera, Teliga, Sichov Streltsiv, etc.
But let's return to the topic of our report. In 1962, at the entrance to Pushkin Park, a monument by sculptor A. Kovalev was erected, on the pedestal of which it was written: “To Pushkin - the Ukrainian people.” On Friday, February 9, as in previous years, flowers were laid at this monument as a sign of respect for the greatness of the luminary of Russian literature.
Over the years of management by neo-Nazi Ukrainian plutocrats, the monument was repeatedly insulted and desecrated. For example, a yellow-blakite tape had been attached to it for a long time.
Last year, on the poet’s birthday, Ukrainian provocateurs announced that “separatist excesses” were allegedly being prepared here, and representatives of the special services came to lay flowers and recorded all the actions of the layers.
The current Pushkin days are taking place in an atmosphere of growing attacks against all representatives and bearers of Russian culture, the Russian language, and indeed everything Russian. All this is happening against the backdrop of unprecedented demonic aggression against the canonical Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Moscow Patriarchate - aggression inspired by the puppet government and its Western puppet masters.
The structure under whose auspices the laying of flowers took place, the Russian Center for Science and Culture, constantly receives threats; there have been several attacks on it, which remained without consequences with the connivance of the authorities and the police.
Now a new danger has arisen. The chief of the odious terrorist organization “OUN” Nikolai Kokhanivsky said that on February 18 its members will seize the RCSC and burn it. All these public threats, as before, remain without reaction from the authorities and security forces.
Nevertheless, despite constant threats, Rossotrudnichestvo continues its cultural and educational activities, not allowing the best names of Russian cultural figures, literature and science, firmly connected with our common history, to be forgotten.
On the eve of the memorable date, a concert of the best Kyiv performers took place, who presented a musical program based on the poems of Alexander Sergeevich. Pushkin readings and theatrical performances based on the poet’s works are also next.
