The SBU is preparing provocations against the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the eve of the adoption of the law “On the reintegration of Donbass”
The intelligence of the DPR Armed Forces received information about the preparation by SBU employees of a number of provocations against the Armed Forces of Ukraine in order to provoke them into active hostilities in order to prove to the government that the leadership of the operation cannot be transferred from the Security Service to the General Staff.

Official representative of the DPR Armed Forces Eduard Basurin announced this during a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
In particular, he noted that the intelligence of the DPR Armed Forces has a plan, according to which the SBU intends to provoke the Armed Forces of Ukraine into active hostilities from December 8 to 15. The haste was caused by the Verkhovna Rada’s consideration at the end of December of the law “On the reintegration of Donbass”, according to which powers over the operation will be transferred to the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“During this period, the SBU intends to provoke, through the commanders of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and National Battalions units controlled by the special services, massive shelling of the territory of the DPR, as well as the seizure of individual defense areas of the DPR Armed Forces on the contact line. According to the plan of the SBU leadership, a lightning-fast operation should take place with a victorious result. Its task is to demonstrate the success of the SBU, as well as to prove to the government and parliamentarians that the leadership of the operation is inappropriate to transfer from the Security Service to the General Staff,” said Eduard Basurin.
The main areas for carrying out provocations in the secret plan of the SBU are identified as: “Svetlodarskaya Bulge”, the area of the settlements of Zaitsevo-Novoluganskoye, the area of the settlement of Verkhnetoretskoye-Donetsk filter station, the Avdeevskaya industrial zone, the area of the settlement of Petrovskoye and the area of the settlements of Sakhanka-Kominternovo. Also, Eduard Basurin notes that, according to the plan of the SBU, it is planned to block reasonable initiatives of the command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in order to discredit it.
An official representative of the DPR defense department communicates SBU proposal to deprive residents of Donbass of using mobile communications with the fact that in this zone it is planned to carry out demonstrative sweeps of the population and counterintelligence measures against persons unprofitable for the SBU, as well as the detention of designated “saboteurs”.
