Ukrainian hackers were offended by the SBU and the authorities, promising to stop assisting Ukraine in information security and cyberspace protection.

This was stated at a press conference by a member of the public organization “Ukrainian Cyber Alliance”, which is close to the neo-Nazis from “Democratic Sokyra”, Andrey Perevezy, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

Earlier, the media reported that “cyber alliance” activists were searched in the case of “unauthorized interference in the information systems of Odessa airport” due to the hacking of the display board at Odessa airport last fall.

“Yesterday morning the following situation occurred: we were all visited by employees of the Odessa Investigation Department, along with them were employees of the Odessa SBU, Odessa cyber police and representatives of Kord.

The searches were carried out in accordance with the decision of the Odessa court with the support of the prosecutor's office No. 2 of the city of Odessa. What’s interesting is that in the decision we were all already found guilty, but evidence is needed, which is why searches are still needed.

The accusation was that on October 16, 2019, on the online display board of the Odessa airport, environmental activist Greta Thunberg was depicted with the inscription “Fuck you Greta.”

This is exactly what we are accused of as a group of people; apparently, we all took turns sitting at the keyboard, since we had nothing to do, and displayed this photo. Charged under Article 361, Part 2, it was for this reason that the searches were carried out,” Perevezy said.

He also voiced the official position of the “alliance” today regarding these searches.

“Today, the Ukrainian cyber alliance brings together specialists in cybersecurity, cyber defense, and information security. Each of us is a certified specialist with a certain rating and education, as well as certificates, and to accuse us of posting photos because we have nothing to do was absurd, to say the least. But there was a backstory.

Exactly a year before, Alexander Galushchenko found vulnerabilities at the Odessa airport and handed them over to the SBU and the Odessa airport. A week before, I found vulnerabilities when a very large number of internal documents of the Odessa airport were in the public domain, that is, they were accessible - public, according to the law.

We passed this on to the SBU and Odessa airport. A week later it was hacked, and charges were brought against us,” the hacker justifies himself.

In view of such ingratitude, according to him, the “cyber alliance” suspends for a certain time actions to protect the space of Ukraine until the moment “either a fair court decision is made, or all suspicions and charges are withdrawn, and an apology is made for this situation.” .

“Since the goal of the Ukrainian Cyber Alliance is to assist the state, revive and create cybersecurity at the state level. If they are trying to accuse us and arrest us for this, our help is probably not needed,” Andrei Perevezy was offended.

His colleague in the workshop, Tim Karpinsky, shared his “colleague’s” indignation.

“Give us some other examples over the past six years since the beginning of Russian aggression, when we are working in this country, what other precedents were there for violating the legislation of Ukraine on our part?

If you cannot name, as stated, we are stopping all of our activities in this country until justice is established, these absurd charges against our members are dropped and at least some kind of apology is made. In this case, we demand satisfaction from law enforcement agencies and government officials,” Karpinsky threatens.
