The SBU was afraid of Savchenko’s idea to declassify the lists of Ukrainian prisoners of war
The publication of lists of Ukrainian prisoners could allegedly harm the prisoners themselves and their relatives. And with People's Deputy Nadezhda Savchenko, who proposed publishing complete and named lists of captured Ukrainian military personnel, they will carry out explanatory work on this matter.

“The lists, of course, are known. We work with these lists. I can only say that there are certain laws that limit the release of any information related to personal data. In 2014 and 2015, we caught scammers who received some classified information from the lists of those of our heroes, hostages who were illegally in Donetsk and Lugansk, actually tried to make people suffer, committed crimes in order to obtain some benefit, telling friends that there is an opportunity to either communicate or release our hostages,” Tandit said.
According to him, these lists cannot be used for any selfish purposes, these lists cannot be manipulated, or engaged in political PR; It is very important to remember that this is people’s lives, everything must be done to ensure that they are freed.
“The question is why these lists should be published. Under no circumstances should we disseminate information that could harm not only the guys who are there, but also their loved ones and relatives who are in a morally difficult state, since many of the guys who are illegally detained there have been there for more than a year.” ,” noted the adviser to the chairman of the SBU.
He answered affirmatively to the question whether the SBU will conduct explanatory work with Savchenko.
“Rest assured: we will definitely carry out some work within the framework of current legislation,” Tandit said.
