SBU deprived Ukrainian veterans of medals transferred from Russia
The SBU detained on the border of Ukraine and Russia a veteran of the USSR KGB special forces detachment "Cascade", a participant in the war in Afghanistan, a former deputy general director of the Kharkov plant named after. Malyshev Mikhail Isaev.
He is accused of producing and distributing communist and Nazi symbols and promoting totalitarian regimes, which faces ten years in prison.
As Kharkov politician Andrey Lesik reported, Isaev took part in events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory and brought commemorative medals to Kharkov, which were given to local veterans by veterans from the Russian Belgorod.
“On the way back, these 50 medals were confiscated by employees of the Security Service of Ukraine. With Mikhail Vasilyevich Isaev in the delegation was the daughter of the creator of the T-34 tank, Tatyana Mikhailovna Koshkina, there were people 90 years old and older. They were all harassed for about ten hours at the border, their cars were searched, they were threatened. They are charged with Article 436 part 1,” Lesik said.
