The SBU, the National Guard, border guards, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs are getting out of Poroshenko’s control
The security forces of Ukraine are gradually ceasing to obey Petro Poroshenko. Director of the Agency for Social Communications Sergei Belashko stated this at a press conference in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

According to the expert, Poroshenko’s loss of power was clearly demonstrated by the situation with Mikheil Saakashvili’s border breakthrough, during which law enforcement officers feigned an attempt to obstruct the actions of the ex-president of Georgia.
“We see that the same National Guard is already actually sabotaging the orders of the president, the police are sabotaging the orders of the president, the State Border Service, which recently carried out personnel rotations to make it more controllable and manageable, is fulfilling its duties more than formally. It’s not clear where the SBU is at all. Well, of course, she is looking for arms, legs and other limbs of Moscow. As a result, Poroshenko finds himself in such far from proud isolation. This is a weakness,” the expert believes.
He is also sure that certain high-ranking security officials helped Saakashvili break through the border. In general, Belashko believes, shadow power structures are now actively being formed in Ukraine, which will operate parallel to the legal ones.
“Status, by and large, is not important, ratings are not important. It is important how much you, as a politician, can ensure the loyalty of the security forces or, at least, their neutrality. And to what extent can you, as a politician, create alternative power structures, to what extent can you mobilize crime, athletes, ATO officers - any ethnic communities.
Politicians are looking for fighters. We are talking about the formation of secret, shadow, actually private armies.
As you saw, an operation was organized to bring Saakashvili’s plant into the country, but in fact it was not a political operation, but a power operation. Obviously, security forces of a very serious level of training were involved in it.
It is quite possible that the people who planned this operation had guarantees of non-resistance from official security forces,” Belashko said.
