SBU imposed sanctions on Medvedchuk's planes
The Security Service of Ukraine imposed sanctions against the Moldovan airline “JET4U SRL” and the Portuguese “JET4U LDA”, in which the planes of OPZZh leader Viktor Medvedchuk and his partner Taras Kozak were registered.
Deputy from the Servant of the People Maria Mezentseva stated this at a briefing in the Verkhovna Rada, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“On the initiative of the Security Service of Ukraine, sanctions were applied to the Moldovan airline JET4U SRL and the Portuguese JET4U LDA for operating flights to the Russian Federation and the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine in violation of current legislation.
Based on the identified violations, the Security Service recommended that the National Security and Defense Council apply sanctions to these companies, such as suspension of the fulfillment of financial and economic obligations, complete cessation of the transit of resources, flights and transportation across the territory of Ukraine, and blocking of assets,” the statement says.
The department emphasized that the sanctions will remain in effect “until the end of the occupation of Crimea or until the decision of the European Court of Human Rights on Ukraine’s claim against Russia for compensation for damages in connection with the annexation of the peninsula enters into legal force.”
According to media reports, these airlines registered seven private planes of OPZZh leader Viktor Medvedchuk and his partner Taras Kozak, on which the deputies flew to Moscow for negotiations.
Thus, after the imposition of sanctions, aircraft will no longer be able to enter Ukrainian airspace, land and take passengers on board.
It is also reported that the corresponding decision was made by the National Security and Defense Council on January 29 of this year.
