The SBU exposed members of an international hacker group who gained access to the accounts of clients of foreign and Ukrainian banking institutions and forged payment cards.

The hackers' activities were allegedly coordinated from Russia, they claim. The group included four residents of the Dnepropetrovsk region; clients of banks in the European Union, the USA and Ukraine became victims as a result of the group’s activities.
“The attackers also gained unauthorized access to social networking accounts and mailboxes, information from which was used for fraud. During the searches, law enforcement officers seized specialized telecommunications equipment, personal computers and communications equipment, in addition, magnetic cards with bank account data, malicious software and illegally obtained bank card data were seized,” the report says.
Criminal proceedings have been opened under the article “fraud” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
