SBU accused the head of Ukrspirt of attempting to overthrow Poroshenko
The SBU accused the wanted ex-head of Ukrspirt, Mikhail Labutin, of attempting to overthrow Petro Poroshenko. Former special service press secretary Stanislav Rechinsky reports this on his blog.

“Recently, cases from the SBU regarding “treason to the Motherland” and “preparation of a coup d’état” have gone wrong. Moreover, the evidence base in these “cases” is really at the level of rumors. Today I learned that, it turns out, the ex-head of Ukrspirt Labutin organized a coup d’etat and planned as a result of it to become... the President of Ukraine.
The evidence base is meetings in cafes. The composition of the “conspirators” are fighters from “Aidar” and “Azov”.

In Ukraine, there is a state monopoly on alcohol production - this is what Ukrspirt is engaged in, the work of this enterprise is one of the sources of budget replenishment. However, after Euromaidan, officials repeatedly announced plans to sell Ukrspirt. This led to disputes among the Maidan workers - those who had control over the enterprise did not want to part with the shadow flows and criticized the idea of selling the state monopoly.
At the end of May, assistant director of the UkrSpirt state concern Viktor Pankov was shot in the back in Kyiv.
