SBU accused Ukrainian politician without legs of torturing ATO militants in Donbass
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy Alexei Zhuravko (disabled without legs and one arm) took part in filming the torture of Ukrainian soldiers captured by the militias of the Donbass republics.
Such statements are contained in the report, published by the SBU, reports the correspondent of PolitNavigator.
The Document contains the testimony of a certain Nikolai (surname not specified), who is presented as a serviceman of the Ukrainian Armed Forces who was in captivity for 776 days.
“...In captivity I was systematically tortured, beaten on the head, legs, and back. They demanded to state on camera that the Ukrainian Armed Forces fighters seemed to be involved in crimes against the people of Donbass. It was filmed on a video camera by former People's Deputy of Ukraine A.V. Zhuravko, who provided the text he prepared. Because, in his opinion, I was reading without emotion, Zhuravko ordered several blows to my face,” the report says.
Zhuravko is also mentioned in the testimony of a certain “Andrey G,” who, according to the SBU, spent 381 days in captivity.
“...We were transferred to another cell on the other wing of the basement of the said commandant’s office, where about 30 prisoners from among the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers were already being held. There was a former soldier of the “Aidar” volunteer battalion A. (about 40 years old, strongly built, his whole body covered with tattoos), who, according to the testimony of my comrades, was a traitor and starred in propaganda videos in favor of the “DPR”, with the direct participation of a former deputy Supreme Council of Ukraine Alexey Zhuravko,” the text says.
