This was stated by Advisor to the Head of the SBU Markiyan Lubkivsky.

“Each of these cases has individual motives. We do not see a connection between these cases, these issues are not within the competence of the SBU, but the SBU is helping the Ministry of Internal Affairs in investigating these cases. But I emphasize once again that the SBU does not see a connection between these cases,” he said.

As PolitNavigator reported, on the night of February 28, the former deputy chairman of the Party of Regions faction in the Verkhovna Rada, Mikhail Chechetov, committed suicide.

On March 10, Stanislav Melnik, a former people's deputy of Ukraine from the Party of Regions of the V and VI convocations, shot himself. On March 12, the former chairman of the Zaporozhye regional state administration, Alexander Peklushenko, committed suicide.
