Information about the search was reported by SBU press secretary Elena Gitlyanskaya.
Earlier, the SBU already reported that deputies of the regional council allegedly planned to discuss at sessions certain issues that, in the opinion of the intelligence service, could help promote in Ukraine the ideas of transition to a federal structure of the country, the creation of free economic zones, the introduction of direct elections of governors, and the granting of special status to the Russian language and so on.
The SBU believes that by raising such topics, the deputies acted in the interests of the Russian Federation.
The intelligence service does not specify under which article of the Criminal Code of Ukraine criminal proceedings have been opened, within the framework of which investigative actions are being carried out.
