A representative of the military prosecutor's office of Ukraine announced this at a SBU briefing.
“The whims of the attacker did not end with the fact that he wanted to purchase machine guns and a sniper rifle. His plans also included purchasing silent sniper rifles, as well as heavy machine guns (“Pecheneg” and VSS sniper rifles). And I want to emphasize that these are Russian-made weapons,” he said.
He added that the detainee allegedly wanted to receive this weapon before the 20th in order to transport it to the capital and use it before February 22. Also, according to the prosecutor’s office, when purchasing weapons, the Ukrainian Armed Forces contract soldier paid not only with money, but also with drugs.
Now investigators from the military prosecutor's office have initiated criminal proceedings under Article 263 and investigative actions are being carried out.
Recall as PolitNavigator reported, The SBU exposed a plan to prepare an “armed uprising” in Odessa.
