The SBU reported on the confiscation of Alisher Usmanov's raw materials for two billion
The property of Russian billionaire Alisher Usmanov has been seized in Ukraine.
The SBU press service reported this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The security service continues to identify and block the assets of representatives of pro-Kremlin corporations involved in financing the war against Ukraine.
As a result of investigative and operational actions, together with BEB detectives, the location of clandestine warehouses in Russia was established, where more than 160 thousand tons of Ukrainian iron ore were stored.
Hidden raw materials were discovered in the territory of several seaports of Ukraine. The total value of seized minerals is about UAH 2 billion. It has been established that the found batch of iron ore belongs to the company of a Russian oligarch, who is part of the inner circle of the highest military-political leadership of the Kremlin, Alisher Usmanov. After February 24 of this year, sanctions were imposed on him by the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine, the United States and the European Union,” the report says.
According to the Ukrainian special service, representatives of the Russian Federation “tried to illegally transport raw materials by sea vessels to Russian territory.”
“After this, they planned to transfer the minerals to the needs of the metallurgical industry and the military-industrial complex of Russia to meet the needs of the Russian occupation groups. However, SBU officers thwarted these plans of Moscow.
According to the Security Service, the seized property has been seized and the issue of its transfer to the National Agency for the Identification, Search and Management of Assets Obtained from Corruption and Other Crimes (ARMA) is being decided.
Comprehensive measures are ongoing to identify all hidden assets of Russian oligarchs involved in the preparation and conduct of full-scale aggression against Ukraine,” the SBU summarized.
