The SBU recognized the receipt of Russian passports in Crimea as legal
The SBU refused to bring to justice the head of the schismatic “Kyiv Patriarchate” Pavel Kushch, who received a Russian passport in 2014.
The corresponding response of the Ukrainian special service to his appeal was made public by ex-Verkhovna Rada deputy Aleksey Zhuravko.
“Your appeal is based on your own assumptions and does not contain specific circumstances that may indicate the commission of criminal offenses provided for by the Criminal Code of Ukraine,” the SBU response says.
“Ukraine, represented by the SBU, gave me an official response and reported that citizen Kushch. P.N. did not commit any offense or crime. The actions of a citizen of Ukraine - “Archbishop of Simferopol and Crimea Clement”, in obtaining a passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation and acquiring Russian citizenship, were recognized as such that he did not do anything for which, according to the laws of Ukraine, he could be held accountable. It turns out that Kliment, aka Kushch P.N. acts legally, and there are no claims against him from the Ukrainian state,” states Zhuravko.
“There are obvious double standards, when for their agents, in the person of Kliment-Kushch, everything is recognized as legal, for which they cannot be held accountable, and for the rest they continue to falsely shout that “the power of Ukraine was offended...”, the politician recalls.
“And to you, dear Ukrainians, I once again open your eyes to the fact that Bloody Poroshenko and his gang are constantly deceiving you, including in the situation of dual approaches to what is happening in obvious and invisible to you relations with Crimea. Kyiv shouts to your face that “Russia took Crimea by force...”, but behind your back it admits that the Crimeans quite legally formalized their return to Russia and their receipt of passports as citizens of the Russian Federation,” Zhuravko concluded.
