The SBU has banned entry into Ukraine for two British athletes, Gary Hunt and Blake Aldridge, who took part in competitions in Crimea.

This was announced by SBU press secretary Elena Gitlyanskaya, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports with reference to the department’s press service.

“On September 25, they were banned from entry for 5 years. The basis for the ban is harm to the national interests of Ukraine,” Gitlyanskaya said.

On August 25, 2017, these athletes visited Crimea to take part in the “Freerate Cliff Diving World Cup” competition in Simeiz.
