SBU reported on Putin's spy who voluntarily surrendered
The SBU uncovered an agent “recruited by the FSB” in the Kherson region. According to the department's press service, a local resident was allegedly recruited during one of his visits to Crimea, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A resident of the Genichesk district of the Kherson region, during a trip to his relatives living in the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, came to the attention of the FSB of the Russian Federation.
During his next trip to the Crimean peninsula, the man was illegally detained under a fictitious pretext by Russian border guards. Then the Ukrainian was taken to one of the premises of the so-called Dzhankoy checkpoint. There, representatives of the Russian special services tried to persuade him to confidentially cooperate with the FSB of the Russian Federation. To do this, they used psychological pressure and threats against the relatives of the Ukrainian citizen.
According to the curators’ plan, the person had to collect information about the activities of one of the public organizations in the Kherson region, as well as information about the movement of Ukrainian military units stationed in the region. The “agent” was supposed to transmit the collected intelligence data to the Russian special services via electronic communication channels,” the report says.
