The SBU boasted of capturing 11 “anti-Ukrainian” bloggers in a month

During July, employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained eleven social media administrators in five regions of the country, who, according to security forces, posted anti-Ukrainian materials on the Internet at the direction of curators from the Russian special services, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Special service operatives documented the illegal activities of six residents of Odessa, two of the Kiev region, a resident of Bakhmut in the Donetsk region and residents of the Chernivtsi and Ivano-Frankivsk regions, who were administrators of anti-Ukrainian communities on the Russian social networks Vkontakte and Odnoklassniki. Special service operatives established that moderators, on instructions from Russia, posted materials on social networks with calls for changing the borders of the territory of Ukraine and with support for the terrorist organizations “L/DPR”. For anti-Ukrainian activities, the attackers received monetary rewards from Russian curators,” the SBU press center reports.

“During searches at the administrators’ place of residence, SBU officers found computer equipment and mobile devices with evidence of posting anti-Ukrainian materials and receiving instructions from the Russian special services,” the message added.

Bloggers are “sewn” Art. 109 (actions aimed at violent change or overthrow of the constitutional order or the seizure of state power), Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) and Art. 258-3 (creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organization) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
