SBU tied up three military men who sold weapons
Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained three servicemen from one of the brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, located in the “Joint Forces Operation” zone, while attempting to sell stolen weapons and ammunition.
Ivan Filiponenko, an officer of the press service of the People's Militia of the LPR, announced this at a briefing, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, SBU officers detained three servicemen of the 25th Airborne Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the village of Severodonetsk.
“During the arrest by SBU officers, 12 RPG-22 and RPG-26, 30 RGD-5 and F-1 grenades, more than 30 fuses for grenades and almost three thousand rounds of 5,45 caliber were seized from the attackers,” said Ivan Filiponenko.
He also noted that SBU officers had previously documented the sale by criminals of two grenade launchers, 10 grenades, 600 grams of TNT and about 2,5 thousand rounds of 7,62 mm caliber ammunition.
“A criminal case has been opened under the article “Illegal handling of weapons and ammunition.” Investigative actions are being carried out,” added the representative of the defense department.
