SBU has tied up extortionists and thieves from Ukrzaliznytsia
SBU officers exposed employees of the Dnieper paramilitary security detachment of the regional branch of the Dnieper Railway of PJSC Ukrzaliznytsia for theft of property and extortion of money from entrepreneurs, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Special service operatives established that detachment officials, together with representatives of local criminals, organized a mechanism for the theft of cargo, in particular metal, coal, fuel and lubricants from cars passing through railway stations in the Zaporozhye region. The attackers also demanded illegal remuneration from the owners of these cargoes for maintaining the integrity and unimpeded movement of goods through the region,” the report says.
The fact of extortion was documented by one of the leaders of the Dnieper paramilitary security detachment. He demanded 400 thousand hryvnia from a private entrepreneur and was detained while receiving the last part of the bribe in the amount of almost 150 thousand UAH.
As part of the criminal proceedings opened under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine resolves the issue of announcing suspicion to him and choosing a preventive measure in the form of detention.
