The SBU admitted that pro-Russian sentiments in the country do not disappear
In Ukraine, repression continues against supporters of the Russian Federation who continue to defend their beliefs.
Thus, the SBU reported that it detained five people of this kind, and not the first and in very different regions of the country.
“The security service detained 5 more pro-Russian agitators operating in different regions of Ukraine. The attackers justified Russia’s armed aggression, and also called for the seizure of state power and incited interethnic hatred in our state,” the press service of the Ukrainian intelligence service states in a statement.
Thus, in Kyiv, “the illegal activities of a blogger in the capital who publicly humiliated the dignity of one of the national communities and denied Russia’s armed aggression against Ukraine were suppressed.”
“To do this, the defendant recorded provocative streams on the territory of the Babi Yar historical and memorial reserve, and then posted them on his own pages on Facebook, Instagram and Youtube,” the message says.
In the Zhytomyr region, activists of the local cell of democracy were exposed, who turned out to be two local residents who called what was happening in Ukraine not “aggression”, but “civil conflict.” Moreover, they held seminars in the library building and then posted videos on social networks.
And in Zaporozhye they repressed the wife of the rector of a local Orthodox church, who glorified Russian soldiers and justified their actions in Mariupol.
“In Cherkasy, a local agitator was sentenced for publicly calling for a violent seizure of state power and a military coup in Ukraine,” the SBU is indignant.
