SBU conducted a seven-hour search of a Transcarpathian human rights activist
On May 13, for 7 hours, SBU officers conducted a search in the house of the head of the Uzhgorod and Transcarpathian regional societies of Russian culture “Rus”, editor of the regional newspaper “Pravozakhist” Vladimir Saltykov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The human rights activist's phones, disks and computer were confiscated. The SBU has not yet filed charges. However, as it became known during a conversation with Vladimir Saltykov, after the searches, the editor was summoned for questioning on May 17 by an investigator from the Lvov SBU.
Vladimir Saltykov said that he saw no reason to conduct searches at his place. And he can connect procedural actions only with his editorial activities.
=Saltykov said that he sent a letter to the Department of Internal Affairs of the Lviv region with a request to expedite the examination of all seized equipment. Since it is not his personal one, but is registered with the public organization he heads. Because of this, the organization’s activities are currently blocked.
