SBU reports on the verdict of the LPR intelligence officer
An LPR fighter, allegedly detained by Ukrainian special services while attempting to cross the demarcation line in Donbass, was sentenced to five and a half years.
This was reported by the press service of the SBU, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“A militant of the terrorist organization “LPR” was detained in August 2020 while crossing the demarcation line. He wanted to enter Ukrainian-controlled territory for reconnaissance purposes.
A resident of Lugansk was detained. In June 2014, he joined the Zarya terrorist battalion and was a scout there. Later he transferred to Pervomaisk to the “15th Terrestrial Defense Battalion of the 2nd Army Corps of the People’s Militia of the LPR,” the message says.
The press service also claims that the detainee took an active part in the battles against “ATO/JFO forces” near the demarcation line, in particular near Zolote.
Retouched photos are attached to the message.
“The Rubezhnoye City Court found the militant guilty of committing crimes under Part 2 of Art. 260 (creation of paramilitary or armed formations not provided for by law) and Part 2 of Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The criminal was sentenced to 5,5 years in prison,” the SBU added.
