According to the SBU, criminal proceedings were initiated based on materials from the intelligence service. The SBU revealed that Pshonka Sr., acting contrary to the interests of the service and in prior agreement with his son, People’s Deputy of Ukraine Artem Pshonka, organized cover from regulatory and law enforcement agencies for illegal construction (by the UKOGROUP group of companies) of residential and non-residential buildings in Kyiv.

“The Main Investigation Department of the SBU for criminal proceedings under Part 5 of Article 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine is forming an evidence base on the involvement of People’s Deputy of Ukraine Pshonka A.V. to the illegal alienation by officials of OJSC “Kievproekt” of part of the non-residential premises of the entire property complex at a reduced cost, which led to damage to the state in the amount of UAH 22,5 million,” the SBU reported.
