Ivano-Frankivsk, May 14 (Navigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The explosion on the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline in the Ivano-Frankivsk region was classified by the SBU as a terrorist attack.

Let us remind you that on Monday evening, during work to eliminate a gas leak from the Urengoy-Pomary-Uzhgorod gas pipeline, an explosion occurred at a distance of 30 m near the onshore high-pressure gas pipeline Bogorodchany-Dolina, which was laid nearby. As a result of the explosion near the Bogorodchany-Dolina gas pipeline, its depressurization did not occur and no gas leak was detected. But, according to local media, the main gas pipeline was deliberately damaged before the explosion. This is evidenced by a rather large dent on the outside of the pipe and a hole, as if caused by some kind of explosive device.
As the press service of the prosecutor's office of the Ivano-Frankivsk region reported, the pre-trial investigation of this incident is carried out by the SBU department.
At this time, all necessary investigative actions are being carried out, and the circle of persons involved in the crime is being established.
