In the presented video footage of the operational shooting, a man in a military uniform with his face hidden under a hood is being harshly detained. It is noteworthy that the SBU officers actually began interrogating the detainee right during the capture. Voices have been changed, faces have been blurred.

“The person involved turned out to be a conscript from one of the brigades of the Naval Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, who was recruited by the enemy after the start of full-scale aggression.

It was established that the occupiers chose the pseudonym “Crimean” for him and worked out the tasks of collecting information about the defense of the Odessa region,” the statement states.

The SBU reported that the detainee was recording the locations of the headquarters, military equipment and warehouses with missile and artillery weapons of one of the military units in the Odessa region. Separately, the statement states that “the agent attempted to locate the positions of the HIMARS rocket artillery system.”

“The traitor tried to convey the information received to his Russian “curator” through an anonymous messenger in the form of notes on electronic cards.

The SBU officers allegedly worked proactively - they promptly exposed the attacker, documented his criminal actions and detained him while he was performing an intelligence mission.

It was established that in order to disguise criminal actions, the defendant often changed SIM cards on his own mobile phone, which he used to communicate with the aggressor,” Ukrainian special services report.

The detainee was informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (treason committed under martial law), a preventive measure was chosen for him in the form of detention.
