The SBU demands that the article “sabotage” be introduced into the criminal code - it will become easier to imprison unwanted people
It is necessary to introduce an article “Sabotage” into the Criminal Code of Ukraine, which will free the hands of the special services and allow them to imprison unwanted people. The corresponding initiative was voiced on Channel 5 by the former head of the SBU Investigation Department Vasily Vovk.

Vovk admitted that such an article was already in the so-called “laws of January 16” of 2014, which were adopted by the regime of Viktor Yanukovych during the Maidan and caused a lot of indignation among the then “opposition.”
However, Vovk proposes to return this article - without unnecessary publicity.
“Once upon a time there was such an article as ‘sabotage’. The Soviet article, it was also introduced on January 16th by those anti-people laws. If this article were in place today, all of these individuals could be prosecuted. You need a lot of components. Well, if it doesn’t fall under the article, one sign is missing, for example, a goal. Here, we were recently talking about Nadezhda Savchenko. Illegal entry into Crimea, into the so-called ORDLO, is punishable under the Criminal Code. But there is one postscript there - “with the aim of causing harm to the state.” Try to prove this harm! And there is no article.
I remember we interrogated Mr. Symonenko for two days, people expected us to arrest him. His words have everything, but only some element is missing that allows him to be brought to criminal responsibility. Yes, it is clear that he is against Ukraine, for Muscovy, populistly declares that we were better off in the Union, but where is the drop that will overflow the cup and lead us to signs of a crime?
I say, let’s introduce an article, but don’t say that it was already on January 16th, let’s introduce an article of “sabotage.” And that’s it, through this article we will put everyone in prison in a couple of months,” Vovk said.
