SBU tightens repression: Ukrainians praise the Russian army
Despite the repression, many Ukrainian residents continue to wait for Russia and come out in support of it.
This, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, is evidenced by the latest SBU report on the detention of citizens in various regions of the country.
Thus, in the Cherkasy region, “a deputy of the Chigirinsky City Council was exposed, who publicly justified” the actions of the Russian army.
“According to the investigation, the official distributed anti-Ukrainian publications among his circle. Destructive content was taken from pro-Kremlin information resources and supplemented with original messages. It is also documented that the person involved was in direct contact with the ex-people's deputy and traitor from the banned Party of Regions, Vladimir Oleinik, who is hiding abroad.
In correspondence with the former regional governor, he reported disinformation with which he discredited Ukrainian soldiers and collected data for him about the mood of the population in the Cherkasy region,” the report says.
In addition, another local resident was detained in the Cherkasy region, who spoke out against the current government on social networks.
In Kyiv, according to the Ukrainian secret police, a certain blogger justified the activities of oppositionist Viktor Medvedchuk, for which she used her Internet pages with a total audience of more than 100 thousand users.
But in the Dnepropetrovsk region, “two more pro-Russian agitators have been exposed.” One of them is a former law enforcement officer who praised the Russian army, and the second is a resident of Novomoskovsk.
