SBU summoned Odessa writer Vsevolod Nepogodin “for a conversation”
The Security Service of Ukraine summoned Odessa writer Vsevolod Nepogodin, who is known for his critical statements regarding the new Ukrainian government, “for a conversation.”
Nepogodin told “PolitNavigator” that employees of the Ukrainian special service arrived at his home on Thursday evening, when he himself was in Moscow, participating in the “Politics” talk show.
Through the parents, representatives of the SBU left the telephone number and name of the employee with whom Vsevolod should contact.
According to Nepogodin, the SBU’s visit is most likely connected with his articles in the press. The writer does not intend to hide from Ukrainian security officers. “I’m not going to run from anyone,” he said.

The day before, Nepogodin published a column in the Izvestia newspaper in which he argued that Mikheil Saakashvili’s appointment to Odessa was carried out on the instructions of the Americans; the new governor should increase pressure on Transnistria and ensure the transfer of the Odessa port, as well as the Odessa port plant, to American structures.
“War no longer seems distant and impossible. The international criminal and adventurer Saakashvili may well provoke a conflict with Transnistria, then flee closer to Washington, and Odessa residents will then have to restore everything after the rule of the guest governor. I will consider Saakashvili’s governorship a great success if, during his tenure, peace is maintained in the region and the territorial integrity of Ukraine is not violated on the lands entrusted to him for management,” Nepogodin wrote.
