SBU detained an ISIS militant right on a Kyiv street
A citizen of one of the Central Asian countries, who was on the international wanted list through Interpol for committing a particularly serious crime, was detained in Kyiv, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
This was reported by the SBU press service.
“According to the data received by the intelligence service, the foreigner illegally arrived on the territory of Ukraine to hide from criminal liability for involvement in the activities of the international terrorist organization Islamic State,” the message says.
Employees of the Security Service of Ukraine detained an attacker on one of the streets of the capital. Now the court has placed the detainee under temporary arrest for a period of 40 days until a request for his extradition is received.
The prosecutor's office has begun an extradition check procedure.
As PolitNavigavtor previously reported, earlier today the SBU boasted of exposing a network of “anti-Ukrainian” Internet propagandists.
