SBU officers, together with the Main Military Prosecutor's Office, prevented the murder of Interior Minister Arsen Avakov by detaining the commander of one of the special battalions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

“As a result of the special operation, law enforcement officers exposed a criminal group that was preparing the murders of high-ranking police officials, MPs, volunteers and businessmen,” the report says.

According to information, one of the organizers of the attempt on Avakov’s life, commander of the Slobozhanshchina battalion Andrey Yangolenko, was detained in Kharkov today.

Criminal proceedings have been opened regarding this fact,
